Job Description

Hubble Network was founded with the intention of delivering on the promise of what Internet-of-Things (IoT) was supposed to be. We're building a global Bluetooth® network dedicated to machine-to-machine connectivity. We differentiate ourselves as the first modem-less and gateway-less, direct-to-satellite network from off-the-shelf Bluetooth® Low Energy chips. Hubble is ideal for applications in logistics, AgTech, and maritime where economies of scale for volume consumer and enterprise asset tracking is a priority. Our goal is to be the first billion-endpoint-connected network in the world.

Hubble is an early-stage, venture-backed startup supported by some of the best investors in the world. In their previous lives, the founding team has been successful in raising $100s of millions in venture funding, developing the Amazon Sidewalk network, launching billions of dollars of space assets, and leading their teams to successful exits, both through acquisition and IPO. We are now looking to bring on talented team members who are the best at what they do to help us make Hubble a reality for the world.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead Hubble's embedded systems and firmware product area, including our open-source SDK, silicon vendor integrations, and developer-facing tools. This role owns the "why" and "what" for everything that runs on the customer devices from the firmware that enables Bluetooth endpoints to connect to our network, to the reference applications and developer experiences that make adoption frictionless.

You'll work at the intersection of our embedded engineering team, silicon partners (Nordic, TI, Silab, and others), and customers building connected devices. This is a deeply technical product role for someone who can engage credibly on RTOS tradeoffs, BLE protocol optimization, and SDK architecture while keeping a clear line of sight to market opportunity and customer outcomes.

This role is preferred ONSITE in Seattle, WA but we are open to west coast candidate who can travel on occasion to Seattle and San Francisco

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE MEETS OUR VALUES:

A Sense of Urgency:  Lead projects from concept to reality, rapidly and effectively

First Principles Engineering:  Have a strong understanding of the whys behind the whats; have the ability to extrapolate from first principles to complex system design

High Learning Agility:  Love to learn; have a grounded approach to recognizing your weaknesses and take the initiative to brush up on and sharpen your engineering foundations to better collaborate with your teammates with different backgrounds

System-Level Design and Analysis:  Understand the requirements flow down process and be able to quickly iterate on evolving requirements
Excellent Communication Skills:  Effectively convey ideas and communicate technical topics with engineering, build staff, and operations; run self-directed design reviews and participate in reviews of parallel systems
Anticipation of Needs:   Identify problems, think creatively, and rapidly produce reliable and cost-effective solutions to meet the ever growing and changing needs of an early-stage company

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the product roadmap for Hubble's open-source SDK, firmware reference applications, and embedded developer tools
  • Drive SDK maturity to support commercialization of Hubble's satellite network, including seamless switching between terrestrial (standard BLE) and satellite (proprietary protocol) modes
  • Lead product strategy for silicon vendor partnerships, define what "pre-enabled" means at the firmware level, guide factory image integration, and prioritize vendor roadmap based on market opportunity
  • Partner closely with principal embedded engineers to make architectural decisions (e.g., upstream to Zephyr vs. maintain proprietary fork, chip-specific vs. hardware-agnostic approaches)
  • Translate customer feedback and market signals into prioritized technical work that balances "delight current customers" with "build for scale"
  • Define and track success metrics tied to SDK adoption, developer experience, power efficiency, and integration quality
  • Engage directly with silicon vendors (TI, Nordic, Silab) at a technical level to shape integration roadmaps and resolve implementation challenges
  • Collaborate with cloud and mobile teams on end-to-end developer experience, from device provisioning to dashboard onboarding
  • Communicate priorities, tradeoffs, and progress clearly to engineering, leadership, and external partners

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–10 years of experience in embedded systems, firmware development, or technical product management in IoT, connectivity, or developer platforms
  • Deep familiarity with embedded development workflows, experience with Zephyr, FreeRTOS, or similar RTOS environments; comfort discussing power optimization, BLE stacks, and firmware architecture tradeoffs
  • Hands-on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) applications, including protocol-level understanding of advertising, scanning, and connection management
  • Experience working with silicon vendors (Nordic, TI, Silab, ESP32, etc.) and understanding of SDK integration, chip selection criteria, and developer toolchain considerations
  • Track record of shipping developer-facing products, SDKs, APIs, reference applications, or developer tools
  • Ability to engage credibly with senior embedded engineers as a thought partner, not just a requirements gatherer
  • Strong customer empathy; proven ability to translate user pain points into technical priorities
  • Experience with open-source projects or communities
  • Excellent communication skills; able to operate across highly technical engineering discussions and executive-level strategy conversations
  • Resourceful, hands-on, and comfortable operating in early-stage environments with ambiguity
