Position Responsibilities:

Define and deliver important programs with broad cross-organizational, cross-business, or significant technology impact. Coordinate large engineering efforts that solve complex or endemic problems such as timely customer impact detection and communication across all AWS Services. Drive business and system-level program reviews with leaders throughout AWS. Define projects, collect business requirements, and write functional and technical specifications. Align multiple organizations with improvement plans that leverage coherent technology, strategies, and effective engineering processes. Identify gaps/opportunities between countries, architectures, and organizations (e.g., services, workflows, tooling). Define and achieve measurable results.

Position Requirements:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or as a Project Lead, Product Manager, Software Engineer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) technical program management and engineering best practices; (2) managing technical projects from design to release for large-scale software applications; and (3) managing programs with broad cross-organizational, cross-business, or significant technology impact.
