This HVAC Engineering unit is part of the Division of Technical Facilities Management. &nbsp;This position reports to the HVAC Crew Chief.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>A City of Seattle Grade II Steam License is REQUIRED;&nbsp;</strong>however, we are accepting applications from applicants with a Grade III City of Seattle Steam Engineers license, with the condition that they must<strong>&nbsp;</strong>obtain a City of Seattle Grade II Steam Engineers license, within six months of employment.&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:.25pt;margin-left:.5pt;text-indent:0in;color:inherit;margin:0in;" id="isPasted"><br></p><ul style="margin-left: 25.25px; margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li><span style="color:inherit;">Operate, maintain, and repair central plant high pressure, fire tube boilers, and low-pressure package boilers and both steam and hot water associated equipment.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color:inherit;">Operate, maintain, and repair two central plant Centrifugal Chillers and associated equipment. &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color:inherit;">Perform inspections, installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on existing equipment including valves, pumps, air compressors and associated equipment&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color:inherit;">Troubleshoot and repair A/C Units, Heat pumps and appliances.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color:inherit;">Operate, install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC computerized control system.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color:inherit;">Operate and maintain back-up diesel generator systems&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color:inherit;">Monitor and reset fire control panels.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color:inherit;">Repair and maintain hydraulic systems on compactors and truck ramps.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color:inherit;">Monitor and record readings of all equipment, prepare maintenance records of repair work. &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color:inherit;">Respond to routine emergency calls.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color:inherit;">Perform, chemical test and treatment for boilers, cooling towers and Hydronic and chilled water loop systems.&nbsp;</span></li></ul><p style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:.5pt;text-indent:-.5pt;color:inherit;" id="isPasted"><u><span style="color:inherit;">Minimum Qualifications:</span></u></p><p style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:.25pt;margin-left:.5pt;text-indent:0in;color:inherit;margin:0in;"><br></p><ul style="margin-left: 25.25px;
