Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Staff Engineer to join our team at ThoughtSpot. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and excellent problem-solving skills.

Roles and Responsibility
  • Design, develop, and test complex software applications using various programming languages and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code that meets performance, security, and reliability standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing software applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall codebase quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Staff Engineer or similar role in a software development organization.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, patterns, and practices.

Hybrid Work at ThoughtSpot:

This office-assigned role is available as a hybrid position. Spotters assigned to an office are encouraged to experience the energy of their local office with an in-office requirement of at least three days per week. This approach balances the benefits of in-person collaboration and peer learning with the flexibility needed by individuals and teams.
