THE ROLE

As an Engineering Manager, you will own the backbone of our data ecosystem, transforming raw information into a strategic asset that fuels global business intelligence. You will lead a high-performing team to build Master Data Management systems that bridge the gap between complex engineering and actionable executive insights. By collaborating across cross-functional leadership, you will ensure our data infrastructure scales to meet global demand, directly influencing our ability to make rapid, data-driven decisions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own Data Infrastructure: Own the Master Data Management application and pipeline architecture, overseeing the transition of fragmented data into "golden records" that serve as the single source of truth for the enterprise.
  • Drive Process Innovation: Lead the automation of manual workflows and the redesign of legacy infrastructure to improve data delivery speed, scalability, and security across the entire data management life cycle.
  • Lead and Mentor: Direct the development milestones for a global team, providing hands-on coaching to junior engineers to ensure technical excellence, quality assurance, and on-time delivery of mission-critical data assets.
  • Champion Data Integrity: Establish and oversee rigorous root-cause analysis processes to troubleshoot pipeline issues, optimizing for performance and ensuring the absolute accuracy of data utilized for global reporting.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Software Engineering: Expert-level command of software development practices, with a proven track record of building business critical applications on AWS (or other big cloud providers).
  • Strategic Technical Leadership: Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and the ability to influence business decisions through crisp communication and robust program management capabilities.
  • System Architecture Expertise: Hands-on experience with stream-processing systems and modern workflow management tools (Prefect, Airflow, Luigi) to handle large-scale, real-time data integration.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A sophisticated ability to perform root-cause analysis on complex data sets, identifying opportunities for infrastructure optimization and business process improvement.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
