Why You're a Fit
Job Description
To support our growth, we are strengthening our Solutions Assurance Team as part of the global Industry Solutions Team (IST), a flexible, globally distributed organization. Our mission is to position MongoDB as an optimized platform for AI‑enabled industry solutions and to deeply understand enterprise customers, their business context, and how they can modernize through artificial intelligence and data‑driven architectures.
As a Senior Solutions Specialist, you will sit at the intersection of technology, integrations, and field enablement. You will own complex validation workstreams with partners, lead the technical strategy for key integrations with the MongoDB ecosystem, and translate deep technical findings into clear, outcome‑oriented guidance for internal and external stakeholders.
This role is a great opportunity for experienced technologists who want to deepen their expertise in solution design, integration testing, and go‑to‑market enablement while working in a highly collaborative, cross‑functional environment at one of the fastest‑growing technology companies.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin for our hybrid working model.
What you’ll do at MongoDB
In this role, you will:
- Own and lead complex solution validations across partner and customer technologies (for example: security tools, backup and recovery platforms, GenAI solutions, IoT/MQTT and streaming platforms), becoming a recognized subject‑matter expert in one or more domains over time
- Design, plan, and execute integration test strategies that ensure solutions are robust, performant, secure, and aligned with recommended MongoDB patterns, including clear definitions of scope, success criteria, and risks
- Produce high‑quality technical artefacts (integration guides, evaluation reports, test matrices, quick‑start notes, and architectural background papers) that are field‑ready and easily consumable by Solutions Architects, Sales, Product, and partners
- Act as a trusted technical counterpart to partners and internal stakeholders, explaining integration patterns, trade‑offs, limitations, and best practices in clear, non‑jargon language tailored to business and technical audiences (while not acting as product technical support)
- Partner closely with the wider Industry Solutions and Product teams to bring real‑world integration learnings into product roadmaps, documentation, partner programs, and early‑access initiatives
- Contribute to and improve internal processes and playbooks, bringing a data‑driven and process‑oriented mindset to how we plan, prioritize, execute, and report on validation work
- Mentor and support other team members, sharing best practices in testing, communication, and stakeholder management, and providing guidance on integration projects where you have subject‑matter expertise
- Represent Solutions Assurance in cross‑functional initiatives, including account strategies, partner programs, enablement sessions, and internal reviews, ensuring our perspective is reflected in key decisions
- Enjoy the ride as we continue to scale rapidly and expand our impact with partners and customers around the world
What we’re looking for
As an ideal candidate, you will have
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the technology sector (or equivalent technical experience), such as software engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, QA / integration testing, or similar roles where you have owned complex technical workstreams end‑to‑end
- Demonstrated ability and appetite to learn quickly and adapt to new industries, solution domains, and partner technologies, including emerging AI and data‑driven platforms
- Strong scripting and/or programming skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, shell) with a solid grasp of modern application and operational architectures (cloud‑native, microservices, APIs, event‑driven systems, streaming)
- A proven blend of technical depth and communication skills, including experience presenting complex technical concepts clearly to architects, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Solid understanding of data, analytics, data engineering and/or data science concepts and how they are used to build AI‑enabled solutions; you are comfortable reasoning about data flows, data models, and performance implications
- Comfort and effectiveness context‑switching across multiple domains (for example, moving from backup and disaster recovery in one validation to GenAI search and retrieval or IoT streaming in another)
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and parallel workstreams, including setting expectations, flagging risks early, and driving decisions to closure
- A self‑starter mindset, with ownership, curiosity, and the drive to become an expert in your focus areas, including proactively identifying gaps and proposing improvements
- A strong team orientation, with a collaborative, process‑aware approach to achieving shared goals and improving the way the team operates
As an ideal candidate, you may also have
- A Master’s degree in a technical or quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience in the tech sector
- Hands‑on experience with databases and/or deploying applications on major cloud providers or database platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, MongoDB Atlas), including real‑world production workloads
- Experience with database programming and data modeling, including understanding trade‑offs in schema design for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Experience in integration or functional testing using tools and frameworks such as Postman, Selenium, SoapUI, Cucumber, or similar
- Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tooling, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Bamboo, Docker, or equivalents, including integrating automated tests into pipelines
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Pulumi, particularly in the context of provisioning repeatable integration test environments
- A MongoDB certification or equivalent hands‑on experience with MongoDB products and the Atlas developer data platform
- Proficiency in more than one language, especially where it supports collaboration with our global customer and partner base
What you will learn and gain
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Experience life inside a fast‑paced, high‑growth tech company and be part of a “can‑do” team where ownership and intellectual honesty are core values
- Deeply learn the rapidly expanding MongoDB product suite, including:
- MongoDB Atlas, our fully managed cloud database service
- Atlas Search and advanced indexing capabilities
- Atlas Vector Search, stream processing, and other AI‑enabling capabilities
- Numerous tools, services, and connectors in the MongoDB ecosystem
- Gain exposure to a wide range of industries and use cases, building a cross‑industry perspective on how organizations modernize their applications and data platforms with MongoDB and partner technologies
- Build practical skills in product and program management, including how we scope, prioritize, and execute integration and validation work across multiple teams
- Develop a deeper understanding of sales engagement models and qualification in a global company, and how technical teams (like Industry Solutions and Solutions Assurance) partner with go‑to‑market functions to drive customer and partner success
- Strengthen your ability to communicate complex technical findings in concise, field‑ready formats that influence decisions at customers, partners, and internally
