Job Summary
We are seeking a forward-thinking technologist, customer-centric Infrastructure Architect to join our Professional Services Consulting team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for technology and a desire to help clients achieve exceptional business outcomes. The role will be responsible for translating the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex Enterprise Infrastructure solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites. Working with customers to align enterprise infrastructure solutions and services with the business by utilizing strong technical competencies and customer service to provide the highest level of technical consultation.
Job Responsibilities
- Gain deep insight into the customer’s business objectives and collaboratively lead customer executives and the NetApp account team to create IT service strategies and solution designs including initial implementation, and operations capabilities to achieve those objectives.
- Engage with customer executives to provide pre-sales consulting as a trusted business and IT advisor.
- Lead development of methods, principles, and IP creation that gives NetApp competitive advantage
- Assess, design, implement, troubleshoot, and document hybrid cloud and data center networks, security, and related systems. Develop high-level and detailed network implementation and test plans
- Contribute to responding to RFIs/RFPs. Creation and maintenance of processes, procedures, technical design, and system documentation
- Identify and collaborate with partners to define and develop solutions and services to augment in-house capabilities
- Collaborate with field technical teams, service engineering, service portfolio, product teams, and other supporting organizations in NetApp to achieve customer and NetApp business objectives
Job Requirements
- 12+ years of proven technical design and architectural skills preferably in a product or service introduction and/or process design context in enterprise information technology industry.
- Strong technical background in storage, compute and network integration.
- Recognized expert in key technical functions, customer transformation and consultative selling.
- Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance and proposing solutions.
- Able to confidently lead executive level conversations and forums about IT strategy, design, transition, and operations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with customers and other internal organizations during potentially stressful situations while providing professional and courteous guidance.
