The Opportunity
“Come join our product development team in a hands-on technical role where you’ll be involved in the end-to-end lifecycle of software development and methodologies. This role provides the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of our business, and work closely with professional services and product management to develop a highly feature rich product.” – VP, Software Engineering.
What You’ll Contribute
- Design and develop cloud-native software platforms (SaaS) using microservices architecture in both Python and Java, establishing Test-Driven Development best practices
- Drive technical decision-making and contribute to full testing automation, developing comprehensive testing frameworks and advanced testing practices
- Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Java (Groovy), Python, JavaScript, or Bash, establishing standards and best practices
- Collaborate with the Cyber Security team to strategically integrate security tooling (Wiz, Blackduck, Checkmarx, Kics, Invicti)
- Take ownership of agile Scrum processes, ensuring consistent delivery of sprint work to Definition of Done
- Spearhead innovation initiatives across tools, infrastructure, and development practices
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to other engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Conduct architectural reviews and make critical technical decisions for platform scalability
What We’re Seeking
- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, related disciplines, or equivalent software development experience
- Ability to work independently, coming up with solutions, escalating to clarify requirements and/or critical architectural decisions, not minor techical details
- 5+ years of Java/Spring Boot development experience with demonstrated technical expertise
- 5+ years of Python software development experience in enterprise environments
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting large-scale software stacks using AWS technologies
- Proven experience with microservices architecture initiatives and Docker containerization strategies
- Strong technical communication skills with ability to articulate complex solutions
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills with ability to present to senior stakeholders
- Advanced frontend development experience, preferably Angular, with architectural decision-making experience
- Proven track record debugging, analyzing, and optimizing complex distributed system performance at scale
- Expert-level experience with testing frameworks (Cypress, Cucumber) and establishing testing strategies
- Advanced experience with JavaScript (Node.js) and/or Bash scripting for automation
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools integrated with IDEs such as IntelliJ or VS Code, or similar platforms to accelerate development cycles
- Production environment troubleshooting expertise and on-call support experience
- Experience driving complex technical projects as a senior individual contributor
- Advanced networking knowledge including VPN, load balancing, DNS, HTTPS, and security considerations
- Experience architecting scalable infrastructure solutions
- Expert-level experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, including pipeline architecture
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform) and establishing IaC best practices
- Experience with provisioning tools such as Ansible, Chef, Salt, or Puppet
