Analytical Epidemiologist

The Opportunity:

Conduct and apply health science expertise to science and technology client challenges. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working or general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance, and review or guide activities of more junior employees.

You Have:

• Experience with multiple programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python 
• Experience in programming using advanced programming methods and techniques, including macros and arrays, to manipulate large complex database files
• Experience with data workflows in a professional environment
• Knowledge of data manipulation using statistical software
• Ability to write communication through the development of standard operation procedures (SOPs), analytic reports, or manuscripts submitted for publication
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Biostatistics, CS, Data Science, Epidemiology, or Life Science

Nice If You Have:

• Experience using R, package use, program creation, or data exportation in a professional environment
• Experience with SQL scripting
• Experience analyzing large-scale data sets, including more than 100,000 records
• Experience working in team settings where not all members are professionally trained in statistical or quantitative studies
• Experience with program documentation, including code commenting
• Experience with data visualizations for broad audiences
• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Biostatistics, CS, Data Science, Epidemiology, or Life Science

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
