We want to give you the opportunity to grow, earn competitive pay, and be happy while you do it. Sounds simple, but we love it.
Your Opportunity:
We are hiring Senior Compliance Manager to join the HR Business Expansion & Compliance Office (BECO), which plays a critical role in supporting Chewy’s strategic growth—both organically through business expansion and inorganically through mergers and acquisitions—by building adaptive, scalable, and human-centric HR solutions. This hub-first approached team, with core Team Members in Plantation, Florida; Boston, Massachusetts; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Bellevue, Washington, ensures compliance with evolving labor, immigration, and privacy regulations while prioritizing the team member experience across domestic and international operations. Team Members in BECO serve as strategic problem solvers and cross-functional collaborators, operating with a blend of expertise, agility, and ownership. While each role may require specialized knowledge based on individual deliverables, all BECO positions are anchored in the following core competencies:
Compliance Expertise – Proactively identifying and mitigating HR compliance risks across areas such as fair labor practices, equality, immigration, data governance, and privacy.
Program & Project Management – Designing, executing, and managing projects that enable regulatory alignment, operational readiness, and scalable solutions.
Strategic Thinking & Execution – Applying a forward-looking perspective to develop actionable strategies that support Chewy’s expansion goals and long-term business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partnering with Legal, IT, HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), and business leaders to ensure alignment and shared accountability.
Communication & Influence – Delivering clear, effective messaging to inspire change, influence decisions, and build trust across Team Member groups.
Change Management – Leading through complexity by guiding organizations through transitions and transformations with empathy, structure, and transparency.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and support program assessments, enhancements, and end-to-end execution of compliance-related HR initiatives, including project planning, risk mitigation, and delivery.
Provide consultative support to HR COEs and business leaders on compliance matters related to new programs, initiatives, and regulatory requirements.
Identify, call out, and solution compliance risks within HR, ensuring alignment with legal, privacy, and cybersecurity standards.
Develop and manage program roadmaps that include resource planning, execution strategy, and measurement of outcomes.
Build and maintain HR Compliance toolkits such as playbooks, templates, and knowledge documentation for cross-functional use.
Drive resolution of cross-functional issues and act as the central point of coordination between HR, Legal, and business partners.
Communicate program landmarks, risks, and updates to participants and senior leaders through structured, clear communication.
Lead compliance projects aligned with organizational priorities and ensure they are delivered on time and within scope.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to eliminate duplication, ensure knowledge transfer, and build scalable solutions.
Partner with internal and external participants to align HR strategies with broader business objectives, ensuring seamless execution and compliance.
Champion a culture of compliance and continuous improvement, supporting HR and business partners through change management and operational excellence.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
8+ years of corporate experience in HR, Legal, Internal Audit or related area
4+ years compliance experience
Ability to influence without authority across organizations and ensuring activities are processed timely and accurately
Proven track record of leading HR through periods of business expansion, domestic or international expansion or regulatory change
