Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at AbbVie within the Medical Affairs as Medical Advisor. Reporting to the Taiwan Oncology Medical Lead, you will be responsible for providing high level scientific and clinical support to external and internal customers, establishing and developing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across the broad spectrum of products within this therapeutic area as well as in emerging indications. In particularly, being the TA expert to provide product related & clinically relevant input for new assets in development as well as supporting in new product introduction team to access launch opportunity.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•Serve as a scientific expert within the assigned therapeutic area, providing accurate, compliant medical and scientific information to internal and external stakeholders.
•Collaborate closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and cross-functional teams (Medical Affairs, Clinical, Market Access, Regulatory, Commercial) to align medical strategies with business objectives and advance patient care.
•Support, design, and oversee clinical research activities, including non-interventional studies, investigator-initiated studies, and real-world evidence projects.
•Review and approve medical and promotional materials to ensure compliance with local/global regulations and governance standards.
•Facilitate scientific education and engagement by organizing training sessions, advisory boards, congress activities, and external symposia.
•Provide continuous feedback, actionable insights, and analysis regarding therapy areas, competitive landscape, and product launches.

•Maintain robust medical governance, risk management, and ethical standards throughout all medical affairs activities.
•Lead the MSL(s) in building a high-performing team, proactively providing members with focused coaching and constructive feedback to support their development.

Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•An advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline such as Hematology or Oncology is strongly preferred.
•At least 3 years of solid experience in the pharmaceutical environment and Medical Affairs is required; experience in people management is a plus.
