The IT Project Training Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering training programs to support the implementation of new IT systems or solutions. This role combines instructional design skills, technical knowledge, and effective communication to ensure end-users are well-prepared to adopt and utilize the new technology. The Training Specialist works collaboratively within the training team and interfaces with project managers, IT specialists, and stakeholders to create and execute comprehensive training initiatives.

 

The work:

  • Collaborate with the Training Team Lead and project stakeholders to understand training needs and requirements for the IT project.
  • Develop instructional materials includinguser manuals, quick reference guides, e-learning modules, and instructor-led training curricula.
  • Design and create engaging training content using various authoring tools and learning management systems.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gapsand tailor training programs accordingly.
  • Deliver training through various methods, including classroom sessions, webinars, e-learning, and hands-on workshops.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a knowledge base or learning management systemfor ongoing user support.
  • Provide post-training support and address user questions or concerns.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from training sessions to continuously improve training materials and delivery methods.
  • Stay updated on the IT system's featuresand functionalities to ensure training content remains current and relevant.
  • Participate in train-the-trainer sessions to expand the pool of qualified instructors.
  • Assist in coordinating training logistics, including scheduling, venue preparation,and equipment setup.
  • Contribute to the development of training strategies and plans in collaboration with the Training Team Lead.
  • Document training activities, attendance, and outcomes for reporting purposes.
  • Adapt training approaches to accommodatedifferent learning styles and skill levels among trainees.

 

Here’s what you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in training or instructional design, preferablyin an IT environment.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and various training methodologies.
  • Proficiency in creating training materials using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in developing both instructor-led and e-learning content.
  • Familiarity with IT systems and software implementation processes.

 

Bonus points if you have:

  • Knowledge of change management principles and user adoption strategies.
  • Experience with virtual and remote training delivery methods.
  • Familiarity with video production and editing for creating training content.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:
