Accenture Federal Services is seeking an enthusiastic and customer focused Cloud Engineer to join our team delivering mission critical platforms and capabilities.
What you’ll do:
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure components including VPC, EKS, RDS, ECR, and Secrets Manager
- Develop and maintain reusable, modular IaC templates (e.g., Terraform or equivalent)
- Assist in packaging and deploying containerized applications to EKS
- Integrate IAM roles and service accounts with infrastructure components
- Support environment lifecycle management (dev, test, prod) via IaC
- Set up monitoring and alerting using AWS CloudWatch and EKS-native tools
- Configure autoscaling and optimize RDS performance settings
- Create documentation, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting guides
- Train customer team members on using IaC to deploy and manage resources
- Serve as a liaison between program platforms
- Assist with generating, maintaining, and deploying CCBs
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cloud systems and environments
- Provide support for cloud systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices
- Collaborate with support teams on workload management, patch management, active directory management, onboarding, and any other troubleshooting as required
- Optimize cloud system operations, resource utilization, and perform capacity analysis and planning
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal customers for escalated tickets
- Support the deployment of applications across multiple classification levels
- Support requirements to capabilities analysis and implementation
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, or 4 years of equivalent professional or military experience can be used in lieu of degree requirements
- 4 years of experience in AWS cloud technologies and platforms
- 2 years of experience in Windows Server and/or Linux Systems Administration
- 2 years of experience with PowerShell and/or Bash Scripting
- Experience with Kubernetes
- DoD 8570 Compliant with IAT Level II certification
Bonus points if you have:
- AWS associate level certifications
- Experience with debugging (grepping logs, stack traces, tracking down permissions issues, etc.)
- Experience in software development to include: Commercial or Private git experience
- Experience with DevOps (configuration management (Ansible (preferred), Chef, or Puppet), application deployment, security)
- Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- General understanding of Networking principles
Security Clearance:
An active TS/SCI level clearance is required
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
