As a Senior Salesforce CRM Engineer and Automation Specialist at Make, you will be a pivotal member of the Business Processes & Systems team, reporting directly to the Head of the department. Your mission will be to contribute to the evolution and refinement of our Salesforce ecosystem, developing solutions in Sales cloud and integrating it with other systems through AI-powered automations via Make to enhance and enable our core business operations.
This role is for a hands-on builder who can take full ownership of complex challenges and implement at speed to answer to the demand for velocity of a fast-changing market. You will not only architect and implement robust solutions in Salesforce and our own agentic automation tool Make, but also act as a key innovator, identifying implementation opportunities to boost efficiency and scalability across the GTM function and within the BP&S department. We are looking for a person who embodies our principle of Extreme Ownership, someone ready to elevate our technical capabilities, improve the quality and speed of Salesforce-powered solutions and support other colleagues’ growth through their expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and Innovate: Design, develop and implement scalable, high-quality solutions within Salesforce Sales Cloud and Zuora CPQ, ensuring they align with business goals.
- Automate at Scale: Design and maintain sophisticated automation workflows that connect different systems (eg Salesforce, Airtable, Customer.io, etc.) and streamline complex business processes across functions such as Sales, Marketing, Finance or Product.
- Embrace AI: Proactively explore, evaluate, and implement AI tools and technologies to enhance our automation initiatives and provide intelligent solutions for our stakeholders. Your mindset should be to innovate with responsibility.
- Drive Technical Excellence: Take full ownership of the implementation cycle from refining requirements and design through to testing, deployment, documentation and users’ enablement, following our team's implementation framework, always keeping the end user, business and company strategic goals in mind. Act as the go-to person for specialised CRM integrations, configurations and developments.
- Govern and Document: Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation for automation workflows and support the implementation of best practices and governance frameworks to deliver compliant solutions.
What we expect:
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and administration experience, with deep expertise in Sales Cloud (ideally as well Zuora CPQ)
- Proven proficiency with Salesforce automation (Flows), Apex, and Lightning Web Components.
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience building, and maintaining complex workflows on an automation platform, with a strong preference for Make.(n8n, zapier, PowerAutomate will be also considered) A strong understanding of and passion for leveraging AI within automation and business processes.
- Data-oriented mindset, with at least a basic knowledge of SQL queries but strong understanding of data models within Salesforce in order to manipulate and perform bulk updates with big amounts of data if needed.
- Functional knowledge of at least one business area among Sales, Marketing, Ecosystem, ideally in a Saas or digital company. Participation in designing and implementing Lead to Cash, Sales, Marketing, Finance or Customer Success processes is a plus.
- A mindset of Extreme Ownership and a proactive, autonomous "Get things Done" attitude; you unblock challenges and drive projects to completion within timelines.
- A deep commitment to Craftsmanship and attention to detail, delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Ability to Embrace Change in a fast-paced, agile environment, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability and a constant desire to learn and improve. Openness to develop solutions outside Salesforce.
- Great collaboration orientation grounded in Humility and Transparency, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable
- Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Platform Developer I certification or Application Architect
- Experience with Zuora CPQ and other tools in our GTM stack (e.g., Salesloft, Zinfi, Clay, Freshdesk).
- Prior work experience in a fast-growing SaaS company.
- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
