The Platform Security team is deeply involved in designing and delivering core security capabilities that power the Pega platform architecture. Security is foundational to building robust, end-to-end enterprise applications, and this team leads the way in ensuring that foundation is strong. In this role, you will engage deeply in building core Security features of Pega platform architecture. Security is the critical aspect in building an end-to-end enterprise application. What You'll Do at Pega:
- Deliver high quality software with minimal defects that conforms with suggested design patterns and best practices.
- Provide inputs to the design documents, API Docs etc.
- Take ownership of designing and implementing a story and drive it to completion.
- Understand and follow DevOps practices and execute the given tasks
- Learn and become subject matter expert in Application security features such as Encryption, Authentication, and Authorization.
- Provide effort and time estimates to complete work.
- Contribute to development of test framework and Write/execute various type of testcases (Unit/Contract etc).
- Follow scrum practices and report the status, progress and impediments in the timely fashion.
- Continuously look for opportunities to learn and improve skills.
Who You Are:
You are a high-energy software engineer that can envision innovative solutions for new feature development, implement efficient testing for the variety of platforms Pega supports and can work effectively as an individual, paired with another engineer and as a team member. You must have a strong Java development background and come prepared to learn and explore Pegasystems’ technology. You are expected to think independently, but also value teamwork as you design and develop first-rate software in a collaborative setting. Previous experience with data access technologies is preferred.
What You've Accomplished:
- 2-5 years of software development experience, preferably in a product development company.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field.
- Strong understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Practices.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exhibit strong time management skills.
- Solid understanding of, and practical experience with DevOps and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Practical knowledge of Software Design Patterns.
- Practical Knowledge of and/or willingness to work as per Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Have some exposure to project planning and effort estimation practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team to brainstorm, plan and develop new features.

Additional Information
Base salary range for this role is 85,000 - 127,100 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.
The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
