Job Description

About the role:

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Sr. Technical Program Manager to support our Research & Development (R&D) team. This is an individual contributor role and will work closely with the leadership team to manage cross-functional technical projects, optimise operational processes.


The role requires strong knowledge of software development methodologies, cloud technologies, excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
 

What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of engineering and infrastructure programs.

  • Define program governance, timelines, and execution plans.

  • Drive delivery across CI/CD, release engineering, SRE, and production operations.

  • Lead observability, reliability, and incident management initiatives.

  • Establish and track KPIs for quality, uptime, MTTD, and MTTR.

  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams on prioritisation and planning.

  • Act as the single point of contact for program status and execution.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership.

  • Lead cross-functional reviews and drive process improvements.

  • Manage complex stakeholders and execution risks.

Cloud & DevOps

  • Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and autoscaling.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (Prometheus, CloudWatch, etc.).

  • Understanding of security, compliance (SOC 2, GDPR), and capacity planning.


FinOps & Cost Management

  • Experience in cloud cost forecasting, budgeting, and optimisation.

  • Working knowledge of AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, CloudZero, or similar tools.

  • Expertise in pricing models, reserved instances, tagging, and waste reduction.

  • Ability to align infrastructure spend with business outcomes.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s/Master degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • 12+years experience and above in project management, operations, preferably within an R&D or technology-driven environment.

  • Strong program management and leadership experience, with ability to influence at all levels.

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, SaaS business models, and software development methodologies and lifecycle.

  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Google sheets, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with the ability to conduct operational reviews and host critical cross-functional meetings.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Hybrid Work at ThoughtSpot

This office-assigned role is available as a hybrid position, reporting to the office in India - Bangalore.

Spotters assigned to an office are encouraged to experience the energy of their local office with an in-office expectation of 2-3 days per week. This approach balances the benefits of in-person collaboration and peer learning with the flexibility needed by individuals and teams.
