Job Description
This is a freelance project / limited-term position with an estimated duration of up to 12 months unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are complete.
- Direct live event programming as assigned
- Oversee the production and presentation of all Philadelphia Phillies home and road games
- Responsible for overseeing the creative execution of assigned shows/projects in conjunction with game producer
- Work with show producer to manage production teams in the daily planning and execution of all assigned programs and projects.
Qualifications
- Must be willing to submit a background investigation
- 7 years related experience with a minimum of 3-5 years experience directing multi-cam, live event programming in both the control room and remote production environments. Previous baseball directing experience preferred.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with on-site and remote production crews, ensuring all members understand production goals, camera assignments, and show flow.
- Work closely with the game producer to determine visual style, pacing, camera coverage, and overall storytelling approach.
- Embrace and integrate new technologies and workflows as they become available
- Basic understanding of remote production trucks and their workflows
- Sports production background preferred, experience with baseball production preferred.
- Must be able to maneuver small spaces
- Must be willing to work in Philadelphia, PA & surrounding areas.
- Travel required for roughly 50-60% of job function
- Willingness to fill in on other live events as need
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license for authorized diving in the State of residence.
