Job Description

Job Summary

This role is part of the Int’l Tender and Contracting (T&C) Center of Excellence, which purpose it is to win more tenders at better prices with a streamlined, robust & automated process. The International Tender and Contracting (T&C) Engagement Senior Manager plays a hands-on operational role in supporting the International T&C Strategic Engagement Lead in a player coach model. This position focuses on strengthening country-level execution of tender and contracting activities, ensuring timely delivery of insights, consistent implementation of processes, and proactive coordination with market teams. The role ensures operational readiness, supports day-to-day issue resolution, and reinforces standardized T&C practices and analytics across markets to improve tender outcomes and performance.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Operational Country Support: Provide direct, day-to-day support to market T&C teams, addressing operational questions, reinforcing process steps, and ensuring adherence to established T&C workflows.

  • Execution of Tender Processes: Support markets in the full execution of tender activities including data gathering, forecasting inputs, submission preparation, and post-award tracking.

  • Monitoring Tender Pipelines: Maintain up-to-date visibility of country tender pipelines, deadlines, risks, and dependencies. Send regular reminders, updates, and follow-ups to ensure timely market actions.

  • Building T&C Intelligence: Ensure T&C data quality and visibility at the highest level. Closely monitor and ensure tracking of opportunity outcomes in a timely manner (incl. competitor intelligence and historical T&C data.

  • Local Implementation of Global Tools: Ensure countries adopt T&C tools and templates correctly. Provide troubleshooting support and coordinate alignment with the Global T&C Engagement Lead when enhancements are needed.

  • Operational Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with pricing, supply, finance, and commercial teams to collect required inputs and resolve operational bottlenecks affecting tender execution.

  • Market Communications: Prepare and distribute country-level communications such as tender alerts, process updates, competitive intelligence summaries, and performance dashboards. Support Int’l T&C Strategic Engagement Lead running the Int’l T&C community.

  • Best Practice Capturing and Sharing: Collect learnings from markets and distribute practical, actionable examples of efficient tender implementation and execution steps.

  • Training and Onboarding: Deliver operational training sessions for new T&C market personnel. Maintain up-to-date training materials and ensure markets are familiar with step-by-step tender processes.

  • Performance Reporting: Support markets in reviewing KPI dashboards, validating tender performance data, and preparing summaries highlighting deviations, risks, and required operational follow-ups.

  • Allocation Process Support: Assist markets in compiling allocation data, validating volumes, and understanding allocation outcomes. Provide ongoing operational support during the annual planning cycle.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 years of operational experience in tender and contracting, commercial operations, market access, or pricing.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational workflows simultaneously.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating inputs across commercial, supply, pricing, and finance.

  • Comfortable with data, tracking tools, and structured templates used in tender processes.

  • Ability to provide clear, practical guidance to market teams and follow up consistently to ensure actions are completed.

  • Hands-on problem-solving skills and willingness to dive into details to support operational execution.

  • Strong communication skills with an ability to translate global guidance into actionable country-level steps.
