Job Description

The Content Operations & Integration team is responsible for strategically balancing programming interests among key stakeholders within the NBC Television & Streaming Entertainment Group, additional internal partners, and external content producers and vendors.

The Director, Content Operations & Integration plays an integral role in this process and contributes to major aspects of NBC’s broadcast network’s programming as it relates to formatting, scheduling, and the strategic integration of sales, marketing, and affiliate elements, communicating vital information to multiple teams and ultimately, critical on-air systems. This role will report directly to the Sr. Director of Content Operations and Integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Live NBC News Specials coverage including:  
    • Ability to operate Urgent Messaging Notification System 
    • Work with Specials Team to ensure effective SR integration into Network programming 
    • 24/7 On-Call support for breaking news events 
  • Manage and approve NBC News Formats issuance and adjustment process 
  • Work directly with Dry Creek Network Operations and Scheduling Teams on day-to-day operations including coordination of Special Feeds for OTS & Affiliates 
  • Maintain Compass and APT systems:  
    • Prime Sports & Entertainment Bookings 
    • Live Sports & Entertainment Contingencies 
  • Live Entertainment Programming:  
    • Monitor and support select NBC live Entertainment events 
    • Hold pre-show production calls 
  • Ability to act as backup to Sr. Director 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience  
  • 5+ years of experience in Broadcast/Cable Television or Streaming  
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.  
  • Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends with short notice

Desired Characteristics:

  • Proactive self-starter with ability to work independently 
  • Some proficiency with Compass or other scheduling systems is a plus 
  • Should thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile office environment  
  • Possess great communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
