This position will be reported to the Accounts Receivable supervisor.</p><br><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">The Senior Accountant performs complex professional accounting work in the maintenance, control, analysis and development of financial records, reports and systems; maintains accounting records in the general ledger and other financial systems; prepares and analyzes accounting/financial data and reports; performs research and interprets accounting standards and regulations.</p><div style="margin:0in;padding:1.0pt 4.0pt 1.0pt 4.0pt;" data-pasted="true"><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;"><span style="color:inherit;">- </span>Leads or supervises technicians creating invoices and maintaining customer account in system</p><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">- Trains, monitors and review Technician II work; ensures compliance with appropriate procedures and reporting requirements</p><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">- Develops, modifies and implements accounting systems, standards, procedures and financial controls</p><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">- Prepares complex and detailed financial accounting reports, statements and schedules</p><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">- Performs accounting and financial research, analysis and reporting on financial, accounting and to resolve issues</p><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">- Reconciles departmental financial data and accounting systems to other departmental subsidiary systems</p><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">- Reviews, develops and modifies internal accounting control policies, procedures and practices</p></div><div style="margin:0in;padding:1.0pt 4.0pt 1.0pt 4.0pt;" data-pasted="true"><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;"><strong><span style="color:inherit;">Minimum Qualifications: </span></strong></p><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (requires satisfactory completion of at least 24 semester hours or 36 quarter credit units in accounting with no substitution allowed) plus three years professional experience in general or governmental accounting (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).</p><br></div><div style="margin:0in;padding:1.0pt 4.0pt 1.0pt 4.0pt;"><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;"><strong><span style="color:inherit;">Desired Qualifications - You will be successful if you have the following experience, skills, and abilities: </span></strong></p><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">- Perform variety of Accounts Receivable functions and maintain customer files.</p><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Outlook, Teams.</p><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">- Excellent written and verbal skills, high attention to detail and accuracy.</p><p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;margin:0in;padding:0in;">- Proactive and independent work attitude.
